Winner of World Press Photo 2010

The winner of this year's World Press Photo is by an Italian freelance photographer with an image of a woman shouting her protest at the results of the Iranian presidential election from a Tehran rooftop at dusk.
Pietro Masturzo will receive a prize of €10,000 ($14,330) and a camera at a ceremony in Amsterdam on May 2.

Sometimes I think contests for photography and design are fixed... isn't that why there is usually a ridiculous entrance fee? :D Sometimes it seems like people get to buy their own prize. So corny if you ask me...
Yeah, I try to avoid that kind of contests where you have to pay to enter your photos. That's quite ridiculous lol.
